We are delighted to announce a new team member; we have just appointed Matthew McSharry as Business Development Manager.
Matthew has over 25 years in manufacturing experience, which coupled with a broad network of contacts and knowledge, will bring a new dynamic and expert value to our team.
An accomplished and performance-driven leader with extensive experience in directing and streamlining end-to-end supply chain and business management operations, Matthew will be focusing on identifying processes and added value, improving operational effectiveness and implementing improvement techniques. This will bring a new service and dynamic to our offering and will no doubt be of great interest to businesses who are ready to re-assess and bring about positive sustainable change.
Matthew’s previous roles include Managing Director of MM Insight and Supply Chain Manager at Mondi Scunthorpe Ltd. He also has an MBA in Leadership, with studies focused on global procurement, international business strategy and international finance.
Matthew McSharry said: “I am delighted to be joining British Power Group and looking forward to working on a variety of projects that will encompass many facets of improvement and development processes. The main target is to consider sustainability and how we can secure the business’ future and that of the environment, by using a system thinking approach.
“From over production and waste identification – whether this be cost, time or resource – through to understanding how effectively a business uses its energy supply, and highlighting where value-add can be leveraged, I’ll be looking at ways to improve operational systems whilst embracing newer sustainable practices. You could say I will help clients to take the small steps needed for their sustainable path into the future.”
